The bowl has
always been full
“The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”
Revelation 5:8
Why this exists
There are people right now who are going through something heavy. They carry grief quietly, wear fear silently, wonder if anyone would even think to pray for them. And there are others, maybe you, who feel called to pray, but don’t know who needs it.
Golden Bowl was built to connect them.
Strangers writing prayers for strangers. No names exchanged. No performance. Just honest words poured into a bowl and delivered to someone who needed them, like incense rising.
How it works
Writers pour in
Anyone can write a prayer for grief, illness, loneliness, loss of hope, or anyone who needs it. They submit it to the bowl. Every prayer is reviewed before it goes live.
Subscribers receive
People who subscribe choose how often they want to receive a prayer: daily, weekly, or monthly. A random, anonymous prayer finds them in their inbox.
Nominators bring others
If you know someone who needs prayer, you can nominate them. Their situation is shared (privately) with approved writers, who write prayers specifically for them.
Personal sends
You can also write a prayer yourself and send it directly to someone you love. It arrives in their inbox immediately.
Built on one conviction
Prayer is not a performance. It is not conditional on knowing someone’s name, their face, their story. It is simply love, poured out, offered up, trusted to God.
Who we are
Golden Bowl is a nonprofit platform run by volunteers. We are not a church and we do not represent any denomination. We are simply Christians who believe prayer matters, and that the internet could be used for something holy.
All prayers are reviewed by a human before they are delivered. We do not allow advice, diagnosis, or anything other than prayer.
